This Policy also describes our use and disclosure of such information. Although information uploaded to the Service by a Lawcus user for processing and storage (“Customer Data”) may include information that specifically identifies an individual (e.g., a Lawcus user could upload to the Service information about its clients in order perform legal services for those customers via the Service, including information that specifically identifies individuals such as name and email address), that information is not Personal Information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy. Registration

In order to use the Website, a user must first complete the registration form in order to access the Website. During registration, a user is required to give Personal Information. Such Personal information is used to provide users the Service.

We collect your name and email addresses for purposes of sending to your email correspondence or other communications regarding Lawcus or the Service. We use a third party agent to process the delivery of our correspondence. This third party agent is not authorized to use your information for any other purposes, promotional or otherwise.

You Control Who has Access to Your Data

We will not disclose any of your personal information, expect when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights, or property of Lawcus LLC. Lawcus LLC reserves the right to release personal information to its’ law enforcement, or other government officials, or in response to a formal request in a civil action, court order or judicial proceeding, as we in our sole and absolute discretion, deem necessary or appropriate.

Moreover, in the event of a sale, merger, or acquisition of some, or all of Lawcus LLC assets, your personal information would likely be a part of the transferred assets. In such an event, we shall notify you via email of your choices as a user, and on how your information is to be used henceforth.

We may also provide Aggregated Information to third parties. Such information will not include personal information of any customer or visitor.

We may employ a third party agent to process credit card payments for purchases made on our Site. This third party agent is not authorized to use your personal information for any other purpose; promotional or otherwise.

Passive Information Collection

When you visit our Website, some information is collected automatically. For example, when you access our Service, we automatically collect your browser’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type, the nature of the device from which you are visiting the Service (e.g., a personal computer or a mobile device), the identifier for any handheld or mobile device that you may be using, the actions you take on our Service, and the content, features, and activities that you access and participate in on our Service. Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive by a web browser. It is used to determine if a user has visited the Website previously. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any Personal Information while on our Website. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to Personal Information. Local Storage

We may use local shared objects, also known as Flash cookies, to store your preferences or display content based upon what you view on our site to personalize your visit.

Customer Data and Security

Lawcus users may electronically submit Customer Data to the Service for processing purposes. Lawcus will not review, share, distribute, or reference any Customer Data except as provided Lawcus’s Terms of Service, or as may be required by law. Furthermore, all Lawcus employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Data Retention

Website and Service Updates

We also send the user website and service announcement updates. Users are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the Service as these messages are not promotional in nature. We communicate with the users to provide requested services, and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information:

If a user’s Personal Information changes (such as your zip code), or if a user no longer desires our Service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update, delete or remove that user’s Personal Information and Customer Data provided to us.

International Visitors/ Users

Our servers and data centers are located in the United States with Amazon Cloud Services. Amazon Cloud Services has certified with the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks. If you choose to use the Service from outside the U.S., then you should know that you are transferring your Personal Information outside of your region and into the U.S. for storage and processing. By providing your Personal Information to us through your use of the Service, you agree to that transfer, storage, and processing in the U.S. Also, we may transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service.
